Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Fourth grade at St. Mary’s marks the last year on the first floor. Our fourth graders are viewed by the younger classes as the “big kids” and are expected to be role models for them. Stewardship, caring responsiveness and more self-awareness are nurtured in fourth grade.
Basic Curriculum
Grammar, Spelling, Vocabulary, Reading and Comprehension
Math: More complex multiplication and division and introduction to variables and expressions
Social Studies: Focus on Idaho History, Highlight is Wagon’s Ho Day with hands-on fun experiencing early pioneer life.
Science: Study the world of living things and their ecosystems. Also study Earth’s changing surface, weather and space, matter and energy, and motion and force
Religion: Focus on the Beatitudes, the Liturgical Year and review Ten Commandments
