St. Mary's Catholic School: accreditation
St. Mary’s School is
currently the only Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA)
Accredited Catholic school in the Boise community. We worked closely
with the WCEA team in the spring of 2009 to earn our A+ rating. This
process involved an intense, week-long session with the WCEA Board of
Directors reviewing everything from self-assessment studies and quality
if our school program to support for spiritual and personal growth.
St. Mary’s exemplifies the Catholic school value-based, whole-child approach to learning in a spiritual environment. The school is steeped in wonderful tradition that actually reminds me of my Catholic school days—the close-knit community, the traditional school feel, the fostering of spirituality and stewardship and the camaraderie of the students.
-Dr. David Lachiando, WCEA Board Member and Past Bishop Kelly President
Additionally, St. Mary’s is also accredited by the Northwest
Education Association (NWEA). The NWEA is a non-profit
association
committed to improving learning for all children. Their suite of
adaptive student assessments, professional development services and
detailed reporting tools are a valuable asset to our school.
