The Idaho Education Tax Credit lets you support Idaho Catholic Schools with dollars you would otherwise pay on your Idaho Income Tax Return. In addition, the normal charitable deduction permits you to deduct the amount of your contribution on your Federal In¬come Tax Return as well as your State Income Tax Return, if you itemize your deductions.

Sponsoring a Student Through a Scholarship

Dear Friends, The strength of St. Mary’s school lies in the support we receive from you, our friends. Our school is able to work with all families that want a Catholic education for their children. Our belief is that a Catholic school needs to be inclusive, not exclusive. We indeed are inclusive. In the 2011 - 2012 school year alone we had 35 students that relied on partial scholarship funding. All of our families pay what they are able to toward their child’s tuition.

Lately, I have received several questions asking how to support our scholarship program. Tuition for one student is over $2,000 per year. You may elect to support an entire tuition, or to support a partial scholarship for the year.

First, anyone may make a donation toward our scholarship fund. Parishioners may choose to use the pink donation envelopes sent out by the parish, 100% of the money received in the pink envelopes are applied toward scholarship. Some of you choose to come in once a month bringing in your donation for a particular child’s tuition. Alumni may invest one hour of their monthly salary each month in the Alumni Scholarship program. Another option for parishioners to donate is to use the EFT system that we will set up for you. You may contact the school office staff at (208) 342-7476 to set up an EFT donation for the school.

If you are in a financial position to make a difference in a child’s life. Please consider supporting the St. Mary’s School Scholarship program.
