st. Marys Catholic School
Stanford Gifted-Child Project
In an ongoing effort to improve on the school’s foundation of Academic Excellence in a Catholic Community, St. Mary’s School has formed a strategic partnership with Stanford University to bring the Stanford Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) to the Boise valley.
We are very excited to be a part of this project with Stanford. While we remain a traditional Catholic school, we are a very forward-thinking organization and strive to offer the best education possible for our students.
-Marianne White, St. Mary’s Principal
Our
Stanford EPGY program
is a zero-hour class offered Tuesdays and Thursdays. Courses covered
are Math, Language, Arts and Writing for Kindergarten through 7th grade.
Do so without requiring them to leave their normal school environment,
Individualize instruction and accommodate individual differences in student learning, and
Allow students to progress at their own paces and to accelerate their education.
Stanford EPGY constantly evaluates new technologies and revise
courses regularly based student-performance data. This program strives
to deepen and improve the nature of computer-based distance learning
instruction.
