Tomorrow is the first day of school. It is exciting for all of us. It is time to see our friends, meet our teachers, and start fresh and renewed.
The first day of school is a Mass Day! Please come in Mass Dress. If you have not been able to collect all of the pieces to complete the outfit, it is okay. Make your best effort. We understand.
We will not have before-care or after-care on the first day. That will begin on Thursday, August 20th.
Theme – Be a Goldfish
This year, the staff and I will be goldfish – It is the happiest animal on the planet. Why? It has a 10 second memory. You can expect to hear more about our theme as the year progresses.
Campus Security
St. Mary’s has installed new cameras inside and outside the buildings and keyless entries on all doors. While these changes are amazing and necessary, it will require us to adjust some of our procedures going forward. The new camera may provide us with the option to stream our school masses and other programs in real time – fingers crossed!
Peaches The St. Mary’s Peach Sale is back!
Fresh, sweet peaches from Henggeler Orchards in Fruitland, Idaho are ready to order. Eat them fresh, bake a pie or cobbler, make jam, or freeze some for later. One bite and you’ll be glad you bought a box, and there is plenty to share with friends, family and neighbors too.
This year our goal is to sell 200 boxes, and every single one helps support the students of St. Mary’s Catholic School. Grab a box or two and help us get there!

Upcoming Events
As we all prepare for coming back to school, below are a few important things to remember.
Wednesday – August 19 – First Day of School 1st through 8th – Early Release
School starts at 8:00 am with prayer square. Everyone is invited to join us as we kick off the new school year. WE will have Mass at 8:30 – Everyone is welcome – School is dismissed at 12:00.
Thursday (August 20) and Friday (August 21) – Normal school days for 1st through 8th graders
Monday – August 24 – First Day of School – Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten
Welcome to school to our youngest Spartans. The first day is half a day with a 12:00 release for our young Spartans. ***Kindergarten is full days starting Tuesday, Aug. 25th – Pre-K continues half days Tuesday and Wednesday. First full day for Pre-K in Thursday, Aug 27th
Tuesday – August 25 – Back to School Night – 6:00 pm
Please come to our annual back to school night to hear about St. Mary’s and all the incredible things we have planned for the future as well as say hello to the teachers and staff.
