Dear St. Mary’s Families,
Welcome to March. During the month of March, Boise will increase its daily sunlight by 80-90 minutes per day. Brighter days are literally ahead of us 😀
Fr. John spoke at Mass today about renewing our Lenten commitments. It is a journey and should be difficult. If we are still searching for how best to prepare for the coming of Easter, consider stopping the cycle of negativity.
Our world is full of negative talk and negative ideas., Whether on social media, the news, or conversations on the corner, negativity is all around us. It is easy to become part of the cycle.
Instead, make a commitment to stop the cycle of negativity. When tempted to say or respond negatively, stop and pray for someone or say something nice instead. Our positive actions and words will have a ripple effect throughout our community.
A Lenten Prayer
Lord, empty me – fill me – use me
Empty of anything that pulls me away from You, God
Fill me with Your grace, Your love, Your presence
Use me, use my life for Your goodness
