Music is the heartbeat of life, providing inspiration and motivation. In all grades, our students have the opportunity to engage with music. In lower grades, this means playing music games and learning the basics. This education progresses through 4th, 5th, and 6th grade as the students focus on reading music and learning music theory.

Twice a year the students present special music programs encapsulating all that they have learned. The final performance for each program is in the evening, so that they may share their music with friends and family.

Choir and Band

We have extracurricular choir and band programs for students with the desire and drive to expand their musical talents. There is no additional cost to participate in these programs and no audition is required.

Mass music is a part of the culture at St. Mary’s School. Students and teachers meet one morning each week to rehearse songs for Mass. The student choir for Mass is composed of student volunteers.

Private Lessons

While not officially part of the school curriculum, our music teacher offers private lessons before, during, and after school. Private lessons are also offered during the summer. All private lessons are first come first serve and contingent on schedule availability.
