Once it’s completed with 100%, students need to print the confirmation page and turn it in for some make up points on the assignment. All phschool codes need to be completed before we do the review for that particular chapter. Once we’ve taken the test, phschool codes will not be accepted for that chapter.

  • ABCya: Educational games for grades PreK through 6 that will keep kids engaged and having fun. Topics include math, reading, typing, just-for-fun logic games, and more.
  • ConnectED: Resources for Spanish and First grade students.
  • Duolingo: Free online site helps with learning a second language.
  • Henry Anker: Great way to practice a variety of subjects and prepare for taking tests online. Topics include math, reading, language arts, spelling, keyboarding, science, geography, social studies, spanish and more.
  • MAP Testing & Study Guides: Login page for the Northwest Educatonal Associations MAP testing and study guides.
  • Quizlet: Search millions of study sets or create your own. Improve grades by studying wiht flashcards, games and more.
  • Rockalingua: Music based spanish learning.
  • Starfall: Starfall is a great resource for beginning readers including kindergarten students. There are many different leveled activities. Kindergarten uses Starfall both in Technology and in the classroom (centers). Students will be asked to visit a specific activity, ensuring growth and learning.

Academic Competitions & Study Materials:

  • Quiz Bowl: Competing against other area schools in a game-show like format, Quiz Bowl is a team-based academic competition held in conjunction with TVCS (link to TVCS website).
  • Science Olympiad: Science Olympiad is one of the premier science competitions in the nation, providing rigorous, standards-based challenges to nearly 8,000 teams in all 50 states. We host 450 tournaments annually on college campuses and hold professional development workshops that showcase innovative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Learn More Here.
  • State Spelling Bee: St. Mary’s sends one winner from each grade on to the next level of competition. It all begins with a school competition in the spring.
  • National Geography Bee:: The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual competition designed to inspire and reward students’ curiosity about the world. Learn More Here.
  • Future City Competition: Future City is a project-based learning program where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades imagine, research, design and build cities of the future. Learn More Here.
  • History Day: Each year more than half a million students participate in the National History Day Contest. Students choose a historical topic related to the annual theme, and then conduct primary and secondary research. They will look through libraries, archives and museums, conduct oral history interviews, and visit historic sites. Learn More Here.
  • Academic Pentathlon: United States Academic Pentathlon® is a five-event scholastic competition for middle school students, providing the benefits of Academic Decathlon® along with the challenges of rigorous team and individual competition. Learn More Here.
